Gotri: New realty hub

Posted on Sep 02, 2016
Ahmedabad

The picturesque suburb has not left its rustic charm despite being one of the hottest selling properties.

To the west of Race Course and Ellora Park Road, the 1-km stretch Gotri Road compasses the finest high rise architecture in Vadodara. Once a sought-after land to invest in farmhouses, Gotri Road has of late seen construction of giant purpose commercial cum-residential plazas.

According to Sahej Parekh, proprietor of Shivanand Complex, "Gotri Road is an ideal residence for officers with industrial base in Koyli or Ranoli. It has been observed that people migrating from Padra, Jambusar and other towns prefer Gotri village for residence."

With serenity of Sewasi on one side and the alluring action hub of Alkapuri on the other, Gotri has a balance of poise and panache. Water flow is regular after the construction of a big-capacity water tank and the electricity is rarely the issue except for the weekly power cuts. Gotri Road is lined with number of consumers and utility shops selling everything from household appliances, groceries and flowers pet caee accessories and even kitchen items.

Gotri Road branches out in the State Highway linking you to Borsad and Anand.Gotri is fast developing into socialising venue with the rise of many party plots, restaurant, malls.

With the coming up of many residence-cum-clinics, Gotri is also favourite with the medical community. This area has everything from dental to cancer hospital at an arms' length for the residents. As it is a chosen haven for medical community, Gotri has also been on the wish list of potential residence due to its proximity to educational institutions The main road is freshly carped but as one moves to the interior particularly around Gotri village administrative apathy is evident. Newly-developed areas along Gotri Vasna Link Road complain of bad telephone services. The heavy activity Gotri Sevasi Road has perennial potholes and suffers bottle marks traffic congestion in evenings. Still Gotri has breathing space and the night charm in Gotri is altogether different with the residents of the village.
